The 2017 Annual Conference will be held on Thursday, October 12 and Friday, October 13 at Valdosta State University, 1500 North Patterson Street, Valdosta, Georgia 31698.

A Pearson representative will be giving a presentation on Revel during the lunch hour on Friday, October 13th. According to their website, “Revel replaces traditional texts with an engaging learning experience that prepares your students to meaningfully participate in your class.” A light lunch will be provided to conference registrants who attend this information session.

Conference Fees

Conference fees, inclusive of annual dues are:

  • $25 for students
  • $90 for faculty and professionals registering by September 15
  • $110 for faculty and professionals registering after September 15

Conference Hotel

The preferred hotel for the conference is the Drury Inn and Suites Valdosta, 1327 Saint Augustine Road, Valdosta, Georgia 31601, (229) 253-0023.  We have reserved a block of 8 rooms for Wednesday night, October 11, and 15 rooms for Thursday night, October 12.  When making your reservation, please use the Group Number 2309554 and then “CJAG” as the block code.  The block of rooms is reserved through September 11th at which point all unreserved rooms will be released to the general public at the normal rate, so please reserve your room before that date.


There will be an informal social event Thursday evening, October 12th in the Association President’s room.  We hope you can join us.
